Opening in 2007, The Archery Zone quickly became Johnstown’s premier archery shop. Bill Puruczky ran the shop and was constantly one of the top archery shops in PA. The Archery Zone features Hoyt, Mathews and Bowtech bows and accessories. Always offering a variety of bows and accessories for all types of archers has enabled The Archery Zone to build its customer loyalty and trust. Offering excellent customer service and a wealth of over 40 years of archery experience keep customers returning to our shop.

We also offer crossbows and crossbow accessories. We carry Ten Point, Excalibur, Mission, Karnage and the new Ravin crossbows. Along with these crossbows we offer the accessories that work best with them. We are also authorized to service Barnett and most other brands of crossbows.

Tony Tazza

Tony is an accomplished Professional Archer and a Hoyt Pro Staffer for the past 18 years. During which he also was a Hoyt Sales Rep for 11 years. In 2016 Tony became the President of The Archery Zone.
Bill Puruczky
Prior to The Archery Zone, Bill managed the archery department at Hornicks Sporting Goods for 35 years. Bill has a wealth of knowledge and is very passionate about archery. He is active in Indoor, 3-D Archery and an avid bowhunter. Bill serves as Vice President of The Archery Zone.
